Through bushes: Willows rebound as Erin strides through them. The wrap that Erin carries Katmai with hails from Zanzibar, in east Africa, a keepsake from a study abroad program a decade ago. The tree depicted on the wrap shows cloves, about as out of place in the arctic as any plant.
