Clam worm (family Nereididae, probably Nereis vexillosa)

The kids call these "fang worms" for the fang-like protrusions that stick out from their head. Even at high tide, they seemed to be everywhere we dug in the sand. April 20, 2012, high tide at Inside Beach.
