Unfortunate portage

In the end this portage involved a lot of boulders, some bushwhacking, and a butt-slide into a muddy crevasse filled with the overturned remains of a forest.
— We debated whether this bushwhack could usurp our 2001 "worst bushwhacking ever" experience in devils club and fallen trees. The case in 2001 may still hold the record, but vertical sided crevasses opening in thick alder bushwhacking is a close second.
