River through boulders

Boulders from an ancient landslide tower over this small river, even bridging it in one place.
— Small boulders are easy to navigate… quick steps from boulder-top to boulder-top allow swift progress. But these boulders were too large, and their edges provided chasms and cliffs to prevent our progress. They were eroding from a large mound sliced through the middle by the river. In some past century the mountainside must have given way, damming the river with these giants until it could cut a new way through.
