Moraine stripes

From far above the curving stripes of gravel-covered ice alternating with bright white dominate Malaspina Glacier.
— The flow of the glacier gradually stretches and bends these medial moraines, and white ice uninsulated by rock melts faster, so the rocky stripes grow into ice hills covered in a thin layer of rock.
