Forest Eroding at Malaspina Glacier

With the beaches rendered <a href="http://www.groundtruthtrekking.org/Essays/Global-warming-coastal-erosion-malaspina-glacier.html">vulnerable to erosion</a>, one fall storm can remove 10 feet of coastal forest.

It appears that this storm was the most erosive in about 5 years. Google images from 5 years earlier show a several meter wide band of trees separates the beach from a river (59.705140, -140.490520) which was intact before the storm, but was breached by the storm.

More on changes in the beach likely relating to changes in sediment supply from Malaspina Glacier: Changes in Fountain Stream
