Boulder tsunami deposit

A river-bank exposes the Taan tsunami deposit about 8 month after it formed. The upper layer is composed of sorted boulders, but deeper down there is extremely poorly sorted sediment. Nearby higher banks revealed deposits over 4 m thick from the tsunami, which had a runup of about 190 m.
