— Habitat: Rocks, mid to low intertidal. Common – found on nearly all exposed or semi-exposed beaches. Description: Red, covered with unbranched bristles, round or oblong head attached by a long stalk, dangles down from rocks. Notes: This is easy to ID in the field.
