Alaska State Flower

Here thriving on a barren north-facing rocky slope in the arctic, the Alaska State Flower is renowned for its rugged survivability, as well as its beauty.

And I'm not talking about the Forget-Me-Not.

The 55 gallon drum is so common across Alaska's landscape that it's earned it's informal status as Alaska's State Flower. With dwindling oil reserves and reduced littering some think that it's an endangered species. Here we document this elegant beauty it in it's many environments.
