Aeolian trash

These bits of garbage, at the edge of giant dunes near Tanaka on the coast of Peru, likely originated miles away along the highway, like the sand that forms the dune they blew inland. Trash was nearly ubiquitous across the dunes, and as the wind came up each day it could be seen rolling, tumbling, and flying its way downwind.
