Cook Inlet Natural Gas Production and Export

Production and Exports of Natural Gas in Cook Inlet (1958-2010)

Net production statistics for Cook Inlet were compiled from the Alaska Divison of Oil and Gas Annual Reports and their website.  LNG exports through 2006 were also compiled from the Annual Reports.  LNG exports for 2009 were found here.  The size of LNG exports for 2007, 2008, and 2010 were interpolated or extrapolated based off vessel traffic data from the National Ballast Water Information Clearinghouse and simple assumptions about the decline of volume per tanker (tankers in 2009 carried only about 60% as much LNG as tankers from prior to 2007).
